Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Australia has today announced pricing for the hotly anticipated 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV.
Priced from $143,900 (plus on-road costs), the Giulia QV will be available in Australian dealerships from February this year.
That pricing sits it above the BMW M3 ($139,615 plus on-road costs), but well below the Mercedes-AMG C63 S ($155,615 plus on-road costs), both vehicles it is set to compete against in the performance stakes.
Specifications for the range were announced last year, but to recap, we do know the car is powered by an incredibly potent Ferrari-developed 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 375kW of power and 600Nm of torque.
It currently holds the lap record for a production sedan around the iconic Nurburgring, moving from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds, which is quicker than the BMW M3 (4.1 seconds) and level with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S.
In addition to the Nurburgring lap record, the Giulia range also claims the prize of the highest adult occupant protection rating ever achieved in EuroNCAP testing.
The local four-tier line-up will also consist of the Giulia, Giulia Super and Giulia Veloce.
While we eagerly wait to drive the car locally, you can read more detail on specifications across the Giulia range.
