In the second, it was Maxwell the bowler who collected a career-best 4 for 46 to help bowl England out for 166 in 39.1 overs. To further add to his outstanding impact on a massive win, Maxwell took a sharp catch at backward point to add to England’s Mitchell Johnson-triggered wobble of 46 for 4, from which they never recovered.

Chasing 278 was not an easy task for England in the final on a pitch that was a little two-paced. They were set back soon into the chase when Josh Hazlewood had the in-form Ian Bell (8) nicking behind in the fourth over .After losing early 1st wicket  not a single batsman from England squad couldn’t scores  half century and all out in 39.1 overs at scores of  just 166 runs. By outstanding performance in all departments AUS registered an emphatic win over Eng by 112 runs and won the title.

The result means that Australia have won their last three ODI series in a row, while England have not got their hands on any sort of a prize since February 2014 – losing series to Sri Lanka (twice) and India in the interim. England, playing their first multi-team final since game two of the 2007 CB Series, which they won to earn their first trophy since 2003, remain luckless

Australia looked a complete balanced all-round side throughout the series. England had their chances and came into the finals whereas India didn’t register a single win. Australia’s preparation looks right on track as their team is clicking as a unit
