Samsung has quietly launched Galaxy A7, its premium mid-range offering in India at Rs 30,499. The phone is available online at the company’s official India e-Store in white, gold and black colours but only the white variant is in stock at the moment.
Unveiled last month, the Samsung Galaxy A7 sports a large, 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) Super AMOLED display and features a metal frame. The Galaxy A7 measures just 6.3mm in thickness.
Powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 oct-core processor and 2GB RAM, the smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
Galaxy A7 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI skin on top.
It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim smartphone supports 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC and GPS. It’s powered by a 2600mAh battery.
The launch comes a month after Samsung announced the metal-bodied Galaxy A3 and A5 mid-range smartphones to India.
