In a 5th match of world cup 2015  Ireland  beat  two-time World Champions West Indies, by four wicket  with 25 balls remaining.Chasing  West Indies’s target  of 304/7,  Ireland  Paul Stirling, Ed Joyce and Niall O’Brien come up with vital 50+ scores to pull of a brilliant four-wicket victory. It was a shocking defeat for West indies and an unexpected result for cricket fans.

Paul Stirling 92 ,Ed Joyce and  Niall O’Brien 92,  84 and 79 not-out respectively as Ireland ensured they stayed ahead of the required rate from the very beginning. The Ireland lost their 4 quick wicket  towards end , but O’Brien stood firm and helped Ireland to an emphatic win  . With the win, Ireland became the first team to chase down a total successfully in this World Cup .

MATCH SUMMARY- Ireland 307 for 6  (Stirling 92, Joyce 84, N O’Brien 79*) beat West Indies 304 for 7 (Simmons 102, Sammy 89, Dockrell 3-50) by 4 wickets with 25 balls remaining.
