105 Runs Win for Bangladesh over Afghanistan.

Bangladesh started well to open their ICC World Cup 2015 campaign with a 105-run win over Afghanistan.Bangladesh batted superbly two of their most important  batsmen  Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim played crucial innings to haul Bangladesh to 267, after which Mortaza (3 for 20) and Shakib Al Hasan (2 for 43) shot Afghanistan all out for 162 in 42.5 over.

Target 268 was not easy for Afghanistan hence they lost thier early wickets Mashrafe removed Javed Ahmadi at the end of the first over. The other opener, Afsar Zazai,fell  next ball , trapped leg-before. It became 3 for 3 when Asghar Stanikzai edged Mashrafe to first slip where Mahmudullah grabbed it after a bit of a fumble.

Samiullah Shenwari and Nawroz Manga played  some good shots and added 62 for the fourth wicket. The required rate was rapidly increasing  the pressure led to the wicket of Mangal, who caught at deep square-leg, Rubel took the catch. Shenwari was then run out in the 26th over when Sabbir’s pick-up and throw from the leg-side boundary found him some way short of the crease.

Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran scored  58 runs for the sixth wicket before Najubullah out leg-before to Shakib in the 37th over. Mashrafe then picked up his third wicket, dismissing Nabi for 44 off 43. From seven down, the Afghanistan tail faced a few blows before the innings came to an end in the 43rd over and Bangladesh registered their first win in ICC Cricket world cup.

For Bangladesh Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim scored   63 and 71 respectively,Captain Mortaza bowled brilliantly and  grabbed 3 wickets.

MATCH SUMMARY-  Bangladesh 267 all out (Mushfiqur Rahim 71, Shakib Al Hasan 63; Shapoor Zadran 2/20) beat Afghanistan 162 in 42.5 overs (Mohammad Nabi 44, Samiullah Shenwari 42; Mashrafe Mortaza 3/20) by 105 runs.
