Highest Margin Victory for Africa In World cup.

South Africa defeated West Indies by 257 runs it was a Highest margin win ever in World cup.South African Captian  AB de Villiers smashed the fastest 150 in ODIs, and the highest team total on Australian venue. South African captain Smashed brutally 162 and just take only 66 deliveries.  De Villiers now has the fastest fifty, hundred and 150 in ODI cricket – all against West Indies – and the fastest double cannot be too far.

South Africa earlier finished on a massive total of 408 for the loss of five wickets after 50 overs. The South African innings was supported by fifties from Hashim Amla (65), Faf du Plessis (62) and Rilee Rossouw (61). West Indies skipper Jason Holder spent 104 runs from 10 overs, and registered an unwanted record of  second-most expensive bowler in World Cup history.

Target 408 was never easy for West Indians, in chasing ,starting was poor when Chris Gayle,departed after scoring only three runs off four balls, missing the line of a Kyle Abbott delivery to get his middle-stump knocked. Any hopes of Dwayne Smith and Marlon Samuels rescuing their side from trouble died with the latter getting caught off the bowling of Abbott for a nine-ball duck, with West Indies reeling at a score of 16 for two in the fourth over. After that Dwayne Smith 36 added some hope for west indies  Smith’s innings came end when he caught out by Imran Tahir,  Tahir took his second wicket in the same over,  Lendl Simmons leg-before.  A scoreline of 53 for five began to push South Africa towards breaking the record of biggest margin of victory in a One-Day International (ODI), which is currently held by New Zealand (290 runs against Ireland).

Darren Sammy was stumped by Quinton de Kock off the bowling of Imran Tahir to depart for a score of five off 11 balls. Tahir completed his maiden ODI five-wicket haul, with Abbott taking a fine catch at short third man to dismiss Andre Russell for a three-ball duck. At a 63 for seven, Sammy wicket confirmed to south africa pull away the victory from west Indies.At last Jason holder played some good shots but it was not enough to create history, he scored 56 runs . This was a poor performance by West Indies bowling and batting department.Batting order collapsed   early overs and all out just for 151 runs by 33.1 over.For Africa this was a wonderful match after loosing match against India they performed outstanding in all department.

 MATCH SUMMARY-South Africa 408 for 5 (De Villiers 162*, Amla 65, du Plessis 62, Rossouw 61, Holder 1-104) beat West Indies 151 in 33.1overs (Holder 56, Tahir 5-45) by 257 runs.
