3.Valeria Messalina, the third wife of Emperor Claudius, once completed with a prostitute to see who could have the most sexual partners in a night.
7.Roman people were extremely hygienic. But they didn’t use soap as it was hard to find. In order to clean their body, they used perfumed oil and then scrape it off with a tool called strigil.
8.They used to clean their clothes with urine as it contains ammonia. Fullones (dry cleaners) used to collect urine from around the city.
9.Purple clothing was a status symbol and reserved only for emperors and high-class people. A dye was made from murex seashells to get the required color. It was treason for anyone other than the emperor to use that color in their clothes.
