12 Home Remedies for Anal Itching

Anal itching can be embarrassing but it is actually common in people ages 30 to 50. Now you can get help without anyone knowing, with these home remedies!


Yogurt can help with yeast infections which can cause anal itching. Use plain probiotic yogurt with live active cultures. Just rub the yogurt on the infected area and leave it overnight. Wash off with warm water and dry well. Also eating this type of yogurt 3 times a day will help.


Oatmeal has smoothing properties so use about 3 cups of colloidal oatmeal pour in a warm bathtub and soak for about 25 minutes. Do this once or twice a day until you are no longer having the itching.

3.Aloe Vera

Get a fresh Aloe Vera plant cut into it extract the gel inside and put on the anus for around 5 minutes, gently wipe it off do this every couple of hours until you no longer have itching.

4.Cocounut Oil

Coconut oil is great for smoothing skin. Eat 3 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil a day. You can use it in your cooking if you do not like eating it alone. Also Use warm oil to put in and around the infected area to relieve the itching and burning sensation.


Garlic works for anal itching from the inside out. Eat 3 cloves of raw garlic once a day for a week. Another option is to boil 4 crushed garlic cloves with a cup of milk and drink on an empty stomach once a week.

6.Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink this twice a day. This will help with any yeast or fungal infections


Slightly roast 1 teaspoon of licorice, chebulic myrobalan and cardamom. Grind them into a fine powder then mix 1/4 teaspoon of this powder and one teaspoon of honey into a glass of water. Drink this once a day until you get relief.

8.Edsom Salt

Mix 2 cups of edsom salt in a warm bath water soak in it for 20 minutes. Do this 3 to 4 times a week. Make sure to pad dry the infected area well.

9.Increase your fiber intake

Eat high fiber foods like beans, potatoes, carrots, brown rice, prunes, and fresh fruits, nuts, and green foods. This will help digestion and decrease itching.

10.Avoid food allergens

Try to avoid food allergens such as tea, coffee, soda, chocolate, or alcoholic beverages theses increase anal itching. Also avoid spicy foods and citrus foods.

11.Avoid Tight Clothes

Wearing tight underwear and pants cause you to sweat and the mosure that gets around your anus will cause it to itch more try to keep the area clean and dry.

12.Avoid scented toilet paper

Do not use scented or colored toilet paper the dyes and scents in them will cause the anus to become irritated and itch. Some people are allergic to the dye inside toilet paper which can cause even more problems.
