Oppo has launched the successor to its Joy smartphone in India, the Joy Plus. The Oppo Joy Plus will be available at Rs. 6,990 via online and offline stores across the country.
The Oppo Joy Plus is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone which runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the company’s ColorOS 2.0 skin on top. It comes with a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA IPS display with a pixel density of 234ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also on board.
On the connectivity front, the Oppo Joy Plus offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 1700mAh removable battery. It measures 124x63x9.9mm; weighs 125 grams, and is listed in Black and White colours. To recall, Oppo Joy was launched last year in India at Rs. 8,990.

We are looking at aggressive market penetration this year and we are confident that Joy Plus, packed with latest features will provide our customers more personal and reliable mobile experience.”
Oppo earlier this month launched the N3 in India priced at Rs. 42,990. The smartphone was initially unveiled back in October.
The Oppo N3’s highlight is its motorised swivel camera that can track objects as they move, and can rotate up to 206 degrees. The camera features 16-megapixel 1/2.3-inch sensor with a pixel size of 1.34 micrometres.
