If you’ve ever had a yeast infection or a urinary tract infection you know feminine problems are no laughing matter, but did you know that we can help control them by watching what we eat? Yes, that is right, what you eat has everything to do with your vaginal health.

Natural Yogurt

Not only is Yogurt delicious but its also great for your vagina. Eating natural yogurts (Greek yogurts and such) help to balance the acidic levels of vaginal pH in order to ward off yeast infections. Just be sure to avoid the artificial sugary yogurts because those will do your vagina no good.

Cranberry Juice

Helping to prevent and relieve the symptoms of a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) The acidic compounds in this don’t get broken down and help to fight off UTI causing bacteria. Once again make sure to avoid the artificial sugary ones because they will do your vagina no good. Your best bet would be to find an organic health foods store of some sort.

Garlic

Garlic is a great anti-fungal which means it is a good way to keep your vagina from developing yeast infections as well, also wrapping a piece of garlic in gauze and inserting it into the vagina overnight is an old home remedy for curing yeast infections. Maybe that doesn’t sound like the most pleasant way to cure your yeast infection, but it is said to be a quick way to relieve the constant itching that comes with having a yeast infection.

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes contain a lot of vitamin A which helps to keep the uterine walls healthy.

Generally anything that will boost your immune system (Citrus, kiwi, broccoli, etc.) is great for your vagina. Having a higher immune system means your body will be able to fight off these infections with no problem.

You should try to avoid foods with lots of added sugars because they are considered unhealthy for your vagina.
