You love Delhi as much as you love yourself. You are so addicted to the city that no other city suits you better than Delhi! From food places to shopping zones and the infrastructure, you love it all and can’t get enough of it. But, you aren’t a pakka Delhiite if you haven’t cribbed about things you really can’t stand about your beloved city.
So, here are some things every Delhiite, would relate to. #HandsDown
1.) When you can never find a parking space in any of the malls!
It seems like half the population lives in these malls, like ALWAYS! Not getting parking outside the mall is understandable but even in the premises! It’s frustrating.
2.) When your commute to work is all about hearing other people’s life issues in the metro.
How you hate it but can never escape that and hear people either bragging, whining or plotting against someone or the other!
3. When your Google Maps is always showing red when on way home from work.
You are in a rush to reach home or wherever; just then the Google maps shows you that you just won’t be able to manage to reach on the time speculated by you.
4.) When weddings are more about the flash of gold and diamonds rather than the newly weds’ happiness.
What’s with these hoard of ladies flashing gold and beating Bappi Lahiri to it? And, you often hear people talk about jewelry, money and other luxuries during weddings because that’s what concerns them more, status!
5.) You find it hard to eat healthy.
This is because you are constantly served aloo paranthas for breakfast, ghee laden paranthas for lunch and then butter splashed on naans at dinner! And, not to forget the aloo chaat, chole bature and dahi bhallas that you savour when you are out!
6.) With each passing quarter of the year, you need to worry about changing your wardrobe.
The harsh climatic conditions in Delhi can make anyone go crazy and the weather can be a bitch here!
7.) When the you can’t party after 8 p.m without worrying about getting home safely.
This is the problem with Delhi and not only girls but even guys sometimes think the same! Why O why?? Why can’t you be safe, my dear Delhi?
8.) When half the roads in Delhi are blocked because of the ever so important politicians and dignitaries flying in and out of the city.
How you hate these traffic jams caused by their caravans! Uggghhhhhh…
9.) When you have a hard time explaining to people that Gurgaon and Faridabad are NOT Delhi.
You are tired but it gets to your nerves when people blame Delhi for things happening in Gurgaon, Noida or Faridababd!
But, in the end you love and adore Delhi.
