Nawazuddin Siddiqui stays away from controversies. He allows his work to do the talking for him. But when a controversy comes knocking at his door, he knows how to arm himself against it. So when actress Chitrangada Sinha quit Kushan Nandy’s film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz mid-way following a tiff with the director, all eyes fell on Nawaz. Everyone was expecting the actor to talk about his side of the story. Apparently, Chitrangada wasn’t happy about a “forced sex scene” as she thought it was a disturbingly embarrassing moment on the sets.
Nawaz, whose latest film Raman Raghav 2.0 released today, finally opened up about the controversy and defended Kushan against Chitrangada. Lead actor of the film, Nawaz divulged that they did a normal scene and nothing unacceptable was shot.
Nawaz said that nothing Chitrangada claims to have happened on the sets, took place. Kushan is a decent person and is incapable of any such crass behaviour. Quoting the director, the report stated that he intends to sue the actress for defamation as he never uses filthy words like she accused him of.
Earlier, sources from the sets had claimed otherwise.
“Kushan got a bit too engaged in the scene in question, which required Nawaz to only pull Chitrangada roughly on the bed and realise that someone is watching them. Kushan was not happy with the first take. He thundered: Chitrangada, you ought to get literally on top of Nawaz.” – Source
While Chitrangada’s accusations that Kushal persuaded her to do the “indecent love-making scene” with Nawazuddin using objectionable language, say a different side of the story, we are reminded of several film plots that actually revolve around such kind of incidents!
