Moms tend to get over protective and over possessive. If it’s too cold we will be asked to wear a sweater, we might be getting super late but we will still be forced to eat breakfast. No matter what your age is, your mom always treats you like a child. This can get annoying, but this is the unconditional love that our moms shower us with, which is actually sweet.
1.) More often than not, your mum tends to get super over-protective.
Moms always make sure that our closest friends or colleagues are on her contact list. In case you do not pick up her call twice, you know your friend is going to get a call asking him or her where you are. If you are not home on time, she will stay worried. Getting calls, asking you if you ate lunch or not are a very usual thing too.
2.) She follows you on all social media platforms and is up-to-date with all your updates.
Moms these days are tech savvy. They are in your whatsapp list and on your facebook account and you are constantly watched and stalked. You are often asked who is your whatsapp DP with and why were you online late in the night. They also go commenting on every photo uploaded by you or of you.
3.) She can’t help but brag about you to almost everyone she meets and greets.
You have guests home? You are going for a social gathering with mom where you meet a lot of random people? Well, then it is obvious that you are going to be the topic of the conversation. Mom will keep ranting about you, bragging about how good you are at your job, or how you are an academically bright child or about how creative you are. No matter how you are, mom is proud of you and she makes sure that the world knows that.
4.) She calls you a hundred times if you’re late while getting home.
So, you tell mom that you will be home by 1 am . You know she will stay awake till you are there no matter how many times you ask her to sleep. The minute it is 12: 45 am very naturally she will call you up and ask you if you have left. If you are late then you know you are going to get tortured with back to back calls.
5.) She nags about your clothes, hair, makeup, etc. But secretly finds everything you do cute.
Parents don’t tend to get fashion. Even though Dad doesn’t care much about your hair clothes or make up, mom will keep on questioning you about it. She will go on about how your hair looks funny, or how your jeans should not be that.
6.) She keeps a track of your schedule- Breakfast time, office time, train time, lunch time, break time, and so on…
Mom knows what time you have to get up, what time do you have to reach and what you will do all day. She keeps track of all your activities. She also expects you to tell her what you did and whom you met.
7.) It doesn’t matter if you’re 15 or 30, she treats you like a child.
Mom will always treat you like a child no matter how old you turn. You may turn 15 or 60, she will still pamper you like a baby and make sure you are well taken care of.
